Celebrate Real Mail...Postcard Friday!

Through my new blog buddy Designing dna,
I found this fun way to celebrate the beauty
of a postcard and some real mail!

I cannot scan the front of this in...
as it is, it tore just attempting to scan it.
But I thout I would share this lovely little note
sent from my great-great aunt
to my great-great grandmother in 1915.

I wish you health.
I wish you wealth.
I wish you gold in store.
I wish you heaven after death.
What can I wish you more.

  20. I love, love, love REAL mail. We relocate often, so to keep people in tune with where we live, I often send postcards.

And, why is it that older generations had such pretty handwriting?

Awesome! I have actually put on my to do list to send one handwritten note or letter every week to someone. I hate to see us lose that.

I love old treasures like that. Those items are so sacred, and I always think how interesting it is to have little pieces of your relatives' lives like little trinkets that tell stories of the past. Amazing. :) Stopping by from SITS.

  41. What a nice sentiment. I ran across a notebook of my Grandmother's after she passed away last year and it was filled with similar notes and poems written to her from her friends. Text messaging may be fast but it won't last the years.

  42. That is a delightful and heartfelt message, I love the sentiment behind it. May have to pass that along myself, there are many people that I wish those things for. Yourself included☺
